Common questions

The app says a lookup is “unavailable because this person opted out”.

That person asked to be excluded from online lookups. Nothing was searched and no credit was used. Your own photos and notes on the phone are untouched.

Why did nothing happen when I pointed the camera at someone?

The app only acts on frames that pass its quality checks: the whole head in view, close enough for a native 200-pixel crop, sharp, evenly lit, and facing within about 30°. Frames that fail are skipped silently rather than searched at lower quality.

I was asked to confirm responsibility before a search.

The on-device check could not confirm the person is an adult. No online search runs until you confirm you are authorized to run it. The answer is remembered for that face on your phone only.

I want my data gone.

Settings → Delete account revokes access and purges server-side account data within 30 days. Your phone's People Library is separate: choose “Also erase this device's People Library” or export it first. To be excluded from other people's lookups, use the opt-out form.

A result about me is wrong.

Use the dispute option. Research is not cached, so corrected public sources show up on the next lookup; disputes help us mark contested claims.

Report a bug

The app sends sanitized crash reports (no faces, photos, labels, or notes) when you allow it. For anything else, email support with your app version and Android version.
